unknown bird song

I'm a San Diego birder visiting family in Plantation (near Ft. Lauderdale). Áfter a couple previous trips I'm fairly familiar with S. FL birds, but I heard one song that I couldn't get outside fast enough to locate. It's a 4-note song repeated several times, clear whistles like a grosbeak or an oriole without the harsher rattles. 4 notes, equal space & length, the 1st two on the same pitch, 3rd slightly higher, 4th slightly lower. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks for your opinions, Jo Ann
