I briefly visited Alice Wainwright Park, a small city park nestled in a well-vegetated neighborhood beside Vizcaya. I planned on birding Vizcaya afterwards only to find it is closed on Tuesdays. Wainwright Park offers views of Biscayne Bay, and it contains a thick hardwood hammock that is gated off for the meantime while it is under restoration.
