The entire country is experiencing a warmer than average December. Minneapolis MN is pretty cold in December. Today's forecast is a high of 36 and a low of 26. While that may seem cold to us, the average low for this date for Minneapolis is 8, and the average high is 24. The record low for this date for Minneapolis is -27 set in 1872. This is just one city, I know, but you can do the same comparison for just about any northern city and get the same results. In recent years, we are losing our winter. We may ger a front here and there, but overall, we are getting more warmer that average days.
