Hi all,
Haven't been able to get a Pine Siskin yet! Had to settle for the Say's Phoebe yesterday at Morning Star Farm Rd. near Canal Point. It's been a month anniversary since that bird was found by Corey Callaghan. The bird has been observed and photographed by others as well in different occasions. This was finally my turn. Actually, I was in good company of Carlos Valenzuela, Brian, & Heather). I have submitted an Ebird report with 41 species in the area.

On the way home, we stopped at STA -1W and had an hour until sunset. We had several Redhead Ducks, Ring-necked ducks, Lesser Scaups, and American Wigeons as the highlights at a distance. The Redhead Ducks actually flew right over our heads. Extremely hard to see the birds there without a scope.
We had some Swamp Sparrows as well. When out of blue, two immature White-crowned Sparrows were identified walking and feeding on the berm heading south from the entrance - not a bad find. Again we posted this report on Ebird with 39 species.
Finally a brighter spot after a few unsuccessful tries.
Gotta go outside, I think I hear a flock of Carduelis pinus outside!
Best,
Marcello
