The dove was seen sitting by the trail where the trail goes downhill and to the right. When it saw the observer (Barrett Pierce sp?) it quickly walked back into the dense underbrush and was not relocated. This was at 8:05. About a half hour later I had a few second obstructed but identifiable view of the bird walking about 50 feet off the path. I lost sight of the bird trying to get others on it. About 15 minutes later my girlfriend saw it 40 yards farther up the trail on the right as it walked into dense undergrowth.

Very difficult bird to find. Patience and constantly scanning into the hammock with bins seem to be the best technique.
