I visited a trio of small parks in the Coral Gables/Pinecrest area today for some pre-Kendall CBC scouting, spending about thirty minutes at each one. I also spent about two hours birding Kendall Indian Hammocks at around midday.

I recorded Blue-headed Vireo, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, and Northern Parula as well as Prairie, Palm, Yellow-throated, Yellow-rumped, and Black-and-white Warbler at all or most sites.

Coral Pine Park: Yellow-throated Vireo, Pine Warbler (5)

Dante B. Fascell Park: Black-throated Blue Warbler (male)

Pinewood Cemetery: American Redstart, Ovenbird

Kendall Indian Hammocks: Short-tailed Hawk, Ovenbird (3), American Redstart, Black-throated Green Warbler (2), and Baltimore Oriole (2)
