Hello All. At 12:34 today (12-06-14), the Key West Quail Dove was relocated by Doug Gochfeld along the Golden Orb Trail where it dips down to the mangroves just past the area with large defaced Gumbo Limbo trees; the bird was on the west side and @ 40 feet in from the trail. The bird was later relocated and photographed well as it sat on the ground/some branches @ 40 feet west/in from the trail at the large defaced Gumbo Limbo trees; the bird then walked back towards the mangrove area of the trail.
This was my 9th trip to try and locate this elusive, some might even say evil , bird.
Good Luck and Good Birding.
John
