Rangel has been there since 8:00 am and no sign of the dove. Typical evil bird. I recall chasing a quail dove once, no wait, twice, with no luck. It was not this one. I was lucky to get Key West Quail-Dove in 1999 on my first attempt!
On the subject of evil birds that I'd like to see, here's my top 100 wish list of life, aba, state or county birds that would get me out there. Any one of these would make me very excited about getting out and birding. Here's the catch: I want these in Florida. I can pay a 5-digit trip to the southern ocean and get Black-browed Albatross circling the boat, but the excitement of getting one here is the real challenge. And why not, they had a Yellow-nosed recently in Pinellas. Actually, I can't affor a 5-digit trip to the southern ocean, so it better be in Florida!
