This morning (3 Mar) a female-type (maybe 1st winter male) Yellow-headed Blackbird was at the horse stable just south of Schnebly Winery on SW 217th Ave west of Homestead. It was feeding on the lawn with a large flock of Brown-headed Cowbirds. There were also a few Red-winged Blackbirds and grackles on the property. After watching it for a couple of minutes the flock left the lawn and headed back toward the barn and houses and didn't return in the 10 minutes I remained there.
