As usual, ~3 weeks after their first arrival, there was a large push of Northern Parulas this morning in Cape Florida. I counted 45 birds, with 41 of them at the south end of the Pond Trail; perhaps an indication of arriving early this morning. The 24 parulas I had yesterday were scattered in 2's and 3's throughout the trail.
Other birds of interest seen yesterday and today: Sharp-shinned and Broad-winged (2) Hawk; Yellow-throated and Blue-headed Vireo; 8 warbler species including a singing Louisiana Waterthrush.
