Hey all,

Waterfowl is slowly showing up at our local lake "Graham Dairy Lake" in Miami Lakes. On Saturday we saw two Northern Shovelers, a Gadwall, five Ring-necked Duck and eight Ruddy Duck, among many new American Coot at the lake. Mottled Duck numbers have also increased along with Ring-billed Gulls which have invaded the lake after this last cold front. A Brown Pelican was hanging around (15miles inland) with an Osprey and a Belted Kingfisher, all which stalked prey from the parking lot lights.

We found a Long-tailed Duck back in 2010 at this same lake, lets hope we can recreate the magic again this year!

Nature is Awesome
