A few items or other terms to note:

hear - to perceive or apprehend by the ear, usually only used by Bland-and-white Warblers.

bird - a warm-blooded egg-laying vertebrate distinguished by the possession of feathers, wings, and a beak and (typically) by being able to fly. Not one species of which was mentioned at all on terms you may "here" on said new boat.

jack - someone who will never be invited aboard or be part of the yawl unless invited and used as a bird and fish attracting buoy.
