Today, 20 Nov, I journeyed to Flamingo, for Flamingo, but having inadequately studied the
tide tables, missed the morning falling tide.
It is difficult to drive by Wagons West in
Pinecrest without eating breakfast.
Anecdotal evidence indicates that the bird
was seen in the morning, and left the sandbar headed
west. I awaited the falling tide and the failing
sun in the company of Gaylee and Dick Dean,
but the only pinkish bird recognizable was a
Roseate Spoonbill, a momentary high.
