: Sue Heath and I made a quick trip to Bill Baggs this morning (Tuesday, January 9) and found 2 Western Kingbirds and an adult Scissor-tailed Flycatcher. All were perched on the wires near the restrooms off the bike path. They were joined at one point by a Great Crested Flycatcher. One of the kingbirds did not show white outer tail feathers, seemed to have a much lighter throat and the back seemed darker than the other bird. It was very windy and even with a scope, the feathers were too ruffled to call it anything else (i.e. Cassins) than a Western. Also in the same area was a Ruby-crowned Kinglet and a Peregrine Falcon perched on the large antenna.
