Last week at the Lantana Beach Pier my friend (Carlos Valenzuela) and I spotted 85 Northern Gannets flying southbound (mostly adults).
We also saw about 20 Jaegers on the same date. Since the weather was too windy and rough I did not take my camera with me.

Fast forward to today, we went back to Lantana Beach Pier and another friend (Brian) spotted a single Common Loon. Bird was far but I was able to identify it. It was floating, preening, and shaking its wings. We had about 130 Northern Gannets and then we stopped counting because we became focus on other birds around.

We walked back to our cars but decided to make a pit stop at Snook Island and try our luck with an unlikely sighting of a Clapper Rail. My friend Carlos Valenzuela was the first one on the boardwalk and he spotted the bird and called me up for a photo op. It was getting pitch dark. I managed a few shots but it was tough to photograph that single bird as much as finding one in PBC.

That is all I've got today. I'll let you know if I spot a Yellow-nosed Albatross soon:)
