Here are my finding on snakes in the past six few months:

Shark Valley - water snakes common especially after dark. Go on a night bike ride and bring a flashlight. Mostly Florida Green Water Snake.
R Hardy Preserve - I have seen Mangrove Salt Marsh snakes in the marshy areas that discharge into the canal.
Chekika- I saw a Florida Kingsnake on one of the old abandoned dirt roads a few months back.
Big snake and they are getting increasingly rare. http://flic.kr/p/jH7HYa


No coral snakes yet. Please let us know what you find. I have been sharing bird sightings. Didn't know you were into snakes too.
