Now that the clocks have changed, the 7:30am start time should be ideal.
I'm dubbing this one "The Quest for the Broward Bluebird". Based on a careful study of anticipated wind speed/direction, the pattern of the coffee grounds at the bottom of my cup and the rantings of some weird guy outside of Publix, I believe that our chances for finding one are (very slightly) greater than zero.
On a more serious note, there have been a number of interesting raptor sightings in the last couple of weeks, including Short-tailed, Sharp-shinned, Red-tailed and Broad-winged Hawks. The Great Horned Owls have been more active as well.
