The Avocet pair were mostly in puddles about 100' S of Loxahatchee RD, 200' W of the unfinished gravel part of Nob Hill RD, & 1,000' E of the HHH Ranch driveway. My car was parked on the public right-of-way of Lox RD (S of asphalt). In order to minimize disturbance of the pair, I never walked beyond any gate or barricade. Photographed at about 8:45 A.M. & from about 4:30 P.M. to 5 P.M., while I stood near gate on W right-of-way line of Nob Hill RD just S of Lox RD. When it became too dark to take photos, the pair flew SW to a distant & deeper pond where they were slowly swimming like seagulls.
