At 5:30, a couple of us at the Florida Keys Hawkwatch at Curry Hammock State Park got looks at an adult Bahama Swallow. The bird fought the strong wind for about 45 seconds before disappearing to the north. No photos were obtained this time around.
Northern Rough-winged, Bank, Barn, Tree, Cliff and Cave Swallows at Curry Hammock made for seven species for the day.
Northern Gannets, Herring and Ring-billed Gulls (all first cycle) passed by today. Raptor movement was slow aside from 267 American Kestrels, 12 Merlins and 22 Northern Harriers.
