They're gone. Not totally explainable. As late as 2001 they nested on my dania farm, but vanished quickly. There were some cold winters, Wilma didn't help. The Coopers hawks might have hurt. But the rapid decline seems to have come before any of these things. I haven't heard a real good theory yet.
