Larry Manfredi went out Thursday and looked along the shoreline of Florida Bay and in Lake Ingraham but only saw spoonbills. This, of course, doesn't mean there are no flamingos out there but it does draw suspicion that the original sighting was bogus. The report I heard was a "tour group" saw them from the Coastal Prairie Trail but I don't know who was leading the group nor if that person knows a flamingo when they see one. I'm going out early this coming week so stay tuned. Spoonbills have that funny-shaped bill, right? LOL!!
