From 1-4:30 PM there was a steady stream of hundreds of swallows flying south along the beach. I've seen this phenomenon before, when swallows fly along Key Biscayne ahead of a front. The mix was interesting, about 50:50 Barn and Cliff Swallows and each species seemed to come in separate waves.
