For all you backyard bird feeders, I had 2 female Painted Buntings show up to my feeder in deep south Dade. I don't know if they are the yearly regulars or just passing through. Painted buntings have been seen here and there, throughout the county, and should be more numerous after the stronger cold front passes through at the beginning of next week. So clean off the cobwebs of you bunting feeders, fill them up with millet, and get them out.
