Marcello says: Go Green! That is right! For now on, he'll it outside his door, turn his ears on, and let the migrating birds come to him. Saving time, gas, and money sounds like a whole package deal. The only problem is that he lives in a community where people go by all the time walking, jogging, taking their dogs for a walk and they are always monitoring him and probably thinking why would anyone be staring up into an Oak, a West Mahogany, or a Gumbo Limbo tree? Maybe he's listening for the whole community who are deaf selective or simply cannot care about birds like Marcello. Marcello says he'll carry that "aviary cross" with no problem.
That was 3rd person report. Now, back to 1st person The Blackburnian was a really nice bird and so was a Magnolia Warbler. Yesterday, the first Palm Warbler showed up and now the Palm Warbler gates are wide open for their temporary invasion.
Earlier this week i had also a Common and Caspian Terns being chased at the Boynton Inlet by some aggressive Laughing Gulls. On the same spot I observed a group of about 20 Sanderlings but one looked a little different ( from what I gather it's just an immature bird) - If you held your breath expecting a Red-necked Stint sighting you may let go of that right about now:).
I added some flashback shots for those who appreciate birds.
May the Fall migration be bountiful to us all!
Marcello
