The dove was seen early this morning, then photographed by Alex Harper. Soon thereafter a number of birders staked out the location where it was found, while others tried to get better angles from the road etc. Once humans showed up, even though they were extraordinarily quiet, the bird retreated to the center of a very dense hammock. It was glimpsed several times, but no one had a decent look up until the time I left, 3PM. Hopefully birders will have better luck in the morning.
