The rains tapered off enough today to get in about an hour of birding in Arch Creek Park (Northeast Dade). Some migrants were around especially just west of the horse stables. Most birds were actively feeding in the nearby Strangler Figs and in the cypress trees growing in the low spots in the park. Here are the birds observed between 3-4pm:
Black-throated Blue Warblers (7)
Cape May Warbler (6)
N. Parula Warbler (4)
Black & White Warbler (2)
Worm-eating Warbler (3)
Blackburnian Warbler (1)
Tennessee Warbler (1)
American Redstart (7)
Northern Waterthrush (2)
Ovenbird (6)
Prairie Warbler (3)
Red-eyed Vireo (3)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (7)
Summer Tanager (1)
Least Flycatcher (1)
