Kerry Ross and I couldn't relocate the Sulphur-bellied Flycatcher this morning at LKSP. However, Moe Morrissette was able to relocate it shortly after Kerry and I left. We did have a large influx of thrushes and Bobolinks: Swainson's Thrush (29), Gray-cheeked (14), Veery (12), Bobolinks (255). Prothonotary (2), Tennessee (1) and a late Louisiana Waterthush were the highlights among the nine warbler species detected. Other migrants: Pectoral Sandpipers (2, flyovers), Red-eyed (7), Yellow-throated (1) and White-eyed Vireos (2) and Acadian Flycatcher (1).

At Curry Hammock State Park, we had several waves of passerines. Between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, we detected 80 species just from the platform in the campground and the immediate vicinity. Notice that the migrating passerine numbers are not too high, but diversity wasn't too shabby.

After finishing up at 4:00 pm, Kerry and I picked up Moe and headed to Long Key State Park to relocate the flycatcher. We could not find it, granted we searched for about 35 minutes. A Kentucky Warbler was picked up in the parking lot just as we were pulling out. Back near our residence, we picked up another Hooded Warbler and a calling Alder Flycatcher.
