Warblers are coming through, Prairie, Black & White, Black-Throated Blue, Am. Redstarts, N. Parula, Ovenbirds, N. Waterthrush, and first for me here Worm-eating Warbler and
Prothonotary. Also have Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Spotted Sandpiper and the usual herons ducks etc. Juvenile Red-Shouldered Hawks put on a nice show of ineptitude, over 1/2 hour trying to open a turtle then the next day lost its fight with a Pine Cone followed by the 2 juveniles attacking a stick and losing.
BUT the Linear trail will be closed for maintenance Sept 16-30.
